Rotary Encoder Multi-Control
The Rotary Encoder Multi-Control gives you precise, instant control.

Motorised Slide-Out Face
Just press a button, and the front panel smoothly slides out to a flat position, making it easy to insert a disc behind it. You can also set the panel at the angle most comfortable for where you are seated.

Flip-down Face
The flip-down face permits a large LCD with an attractive, easy-to-read display of numerical and graphical data such as levels.

Steering Remote Control Ready
With an optional adapter, you can control a head unit from the steering-wheel remote control that comes factory standard with your car.

MP3/WMA Playback with ID3/WMA Tag
Most CD receivers are compatible with WMA (Windows MediaMT Audio) and MP3 supporting ID3 Version 2 tags. Burning CD-R/RW discs with MP3 and/or WMA files using a PC has never been easier, and the head units provide immediate playback. Thanks to sophisticated compression technologies, a single MP3/WMA disc can contain as much content as 20 ordinary CDs.

CD/CD-R/CD-RW Compatible
CD-RW (CD-Rewritable) lets you make your own CDs and play them back on CD players. And although CD-RW's low reflectivity can cause tracking problems, ADS (Advanced Digital Servo) effectively solves this problem. Most JVC CD receivers are compatible with CD-RW, CD-R and, of course, CD discs.

Ready for iPod®
When combined with an opti iPOD adapter, 'Ready for iPOD' head units play music files from a connected iPod and offer smooth and natural control. Information displayed on the head unit is arranged with the same categories and layers as an iPod.

Digital Radio Full Control*
Digital Radio Full Control has the same specifications as DAB Ready II but with the added functions of a 16x2 line display, dynamic label segment, announcement selection by type, and more.

Digital Radio Basic Control*
DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) is an advanced radio transmission system that permits reception without noise or interference. With digital broadcasting, you get superior quality sound, a wider choice of programmes, no retuning and interference-free reception -- all right in your car. JVC head units' Digital Radio Basic Control offers a 1x8-character display, full- and half-rate audio, dynamic multiplex reconfiguration support, and primary and secondary components.

RDS Tuner
The RDS (Radio Data System) tuner provides convenient control over reception. With Network Tracking Reception and the high-speed PLL circuit, you can continuously enjoy the same programme while you travel: the tuner is automatically kept tuned to the strongest of all frequencies available. Automatic Traffic Information Reception provides traffic updates, even while a CD or cassette is playing. In addition to displaying the name of the station being received, PTY (Programme Type) Search quickly accesses programmes of a specified type like news, sports or various types of music. PTY Standby automatically switches to a station broadcasting the selected programme type. Enhanced Other Network makes RDS capability even more versatile, allowing access to networks not tuned to.

24-bit Resolution Burr-Brown 1-bit D/A Converter
The 24-bit resolution 1-bIt DAC provides higher resolution combined with lower distortion, thanks to the 24-bit requantization for CD playback.

Advanced Multi-bit DAC
The Multi-bit system achieves a wide dynamic range. Its unique algorithm contributes to improved linearity and low distortion. Moreover, its incorporated Switched Capacitor Filter minimises the signal deterioration caused by clock jitter, enabling stable D/A conversion. As a result, even subtle nuances of music and be reproduced in fine detail.

MOS-FET Power Amp
Unlike conventional bipolar transistors, MOS-FET devices do not generate crossover distortion when boosting voltage in the power amplifier. The result is superb signal purity. MOS-FET also features a higher signal-to-noise ratio, which means high frequencies are not degraded by noise.

Max Amp Gain Switcher
This lets you switch between two maximum sound output levels (with max. volume 50 or 30) to avoid sound distortion caused by excessive output to speakers with low maximum input -- such as those fitted by car manufacturers.

3-Band Parametric iEQ
You can adjust centre frequency curves, bandwidth, and level independently for bass, midrange, and treble, to optimise the sound for the music you listen to.

Two Pairs of Gold-Plated Line Output Terminals
High-quality output terminals give you the flexibility to configure your in-car system -- all the way to a high-grade in-car A/V system Gold plating insures long-term durability and reliability.

5V Line Output Level
Increased line output level means the unit is capable of delivering a high five volt signal. This high-quality output signal provides amplifiers with the best possible input for an improved signal-to-noise ratio, reduced distortion and expanded dynamic range.

Subwoofer Out Terminals/Gold-plated Subwoofer Out Terminals
Connect an external amplifier to a head unit with subwoofer out terminals, and your subwoofer is good to go. A low-pass filter is built into the system, making a crossover network unnecessary. You can boost or decrease the level and select the cut-off frequency (Low/Mid/High) right from the dash, depending on your subwoofer's capabilities and the other speakers in your car audio system.

Front AUX Input
The AUX input located in front lets you easily connect with external devices -- including digital audio players.

ISO Connector
ISO connectors allow for easy, error-free hook-up most cars available in Europe.

±10 Skip Function
Compilation DCs you create may each contain a hundred or even more songs in compressed MP3 format, but the ±10 Skip function on the unit lets you access any of them quickly by jumping songs by units of ten.

Dimmer
While you drive at night, the display of your head unit may look too bright and distracting. Using the manual/auto dimmer you can adjust any annoying glare.

CD Control Functions
Included CD track control functions are: Skip, Search, Repeat (Track/Disc*), Random Play and Intro Scan (Track/Disc*). Direct Track Access allows you to access Track 1 to Track 12 quickly with the touch of a button. *In conjunction with a changer.

CD Text Capability
CD Text Capability means a large-sized LCD shows information on the disc -- title, artist name, etc. -- that is being played on the CD head unit's CD player or a CD Text-compatible CD changer.

Disc Name Registration
When you assign names to CDs loaded in the CD head unit or the connected CD changer, Disc Name Registration lets you store them for display to make it easy to identify the CD you want to hear.

COMPU PLAY
COMPU PLAY makes for instant start-ups, the moment you press a button for a source or insert a disc or tape.

  • Sound Control: Bass, Treble, Balance, Fader and Loudness
  • General Settings: Clock (Hours: Minutes), Level Meter Mode and Dimmer.
  • RDS Settings: Display Mode, PTY, and TA Volume.

Telephone Muting
You can reduce the audio level instantly when there's an incoming phone call. On certain models this function also stops the CD automatically.

Remote Control Ready
Whenever you're ready, you can add an optional remote control for hands-off operation.
